Wawa Drinks Menu With Prices, Calories and Caffeine (2026)

Wawa sells drinks four ways: handcrafted refreshers, Rechargers, smoothies and shakes made at the touchscreen kiosk; self-serve soda from Coca-Cola Freestyle fountains; Wawa's own bottled milk, tea and lemonade in the cold case; and coffee from the coffee bar. Most stores sell all of them 24 hours a day.

  • Refreshers cost $2.99–$5.09 and Rechargers $4.69.
  • Iced tea and lemonade cost $1.79–$2.99; unsweetened tea has zero calories.
  • Rechargers carry 75 to 150 mg of caffeine before any boost, according to Chowhound.
  • Every refresher can be made without green tea for a caffeine-free drink.

What are Wawa Refreshers?

Wawa Refreshers are iced drinks made with fruit juice and cold-brewed green tea, in dragon fruit and passion fruit flavors, plus lemonade and oat milk versions such as Emerald Matcha. They cost $2.99–$5.09, and any of them can be made without green tea if you want no caffeine. Order them at the kiosk.

What are Wawa Rechargers?

Rechargers are Wawa's house-made energy drinks, on the menu since at least 2023 and served frozen like a slushie or over ice. Each base has 75 to 150 mg of caffeine, and a boost adds 37 to 111 mg more, according to Chowhound. They cost $4.69 for 16 oz, and you can ask for less sugar or zero sugar.

Caffeine and boost

A plain Recharger has less caffeine than a medium Wawa hot coffee, which estimates put near 290 mg. With Boost, the top of the range passes 250 mg, so skip it late at night and for teens.

Add-ons and sugar

Chowhound lists Boost, Immunity (vitamins C, D, B3 and zinc), whey Protein and sour cherry popping bubbles, which cost extra. Choose less sugar or zero sugar on the kiosk to cut calories.

Does Wawa have iced tea and lemonade?

The cold case also holds Wawa-brand bottled teas and lemonades, including diet versions, which vary by store. Hot tea options at the coffee bar also differ from store to store.

Bottled teas and lemonades

Wawa-brand bottled teas such as green tea, diet green tea, diet peach, diet raspberry and iced tea lemonade are listed in nutrition databases and sold in many cold cases. The lineup and sizes change by store, so the shelf tags are the best guide.

Does Wawa sell milk and chocolate milk?

Yes. Wawa makes its own milk at Wawa Beverage Co. in Media, Pennsylvania, and sells it in the cold case: 2%, chocolate, Double Dutch chocolate and cookies and cream in 16 oz bottles, the products named in its 2026 recall notice. On the kids menu, chocolate and strawberry milk cost $1.99.

February 2026 milk recall

Wawa recalled some 16 oz milk bottles with March 2026 code dates in four states. Customers were told to throw those bottles away and ask for a refund through Wawa customer service at 1-800-444-9292, according to NJBIZ.

What fountain drinks does Wawa have?

Wawa fountains are Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, a touchscreen dispenser with more than 100 Coca-Cola drinks and flavor mixes, rolled out to all stores from 2014. You take a cup, pour your own and pay at the register by cup size. The biggest XL cup holds up to 44 oz, based on a 2022 Wawa Day offer.

How to pick a flavor

Tap a brand on the Freestyle screen, then a flavor such as cherry, vanilla or lime. Diet and zero sugar versions sit under each brand, and some machines show caffeine-free options.

Prices and sizes

Fountain prices are set by store and cup size, so we do not list them here. The register screen shows the price for your cup before you pay.

Refills and water

Wawa does not publish one refill or water rule. Ask the cashier first; the answers vary by store and are covered in the FAQ below.

Does Wawa have slushies or frozen drinks?

Yes. At least some Wawa stores have a self-serve ICEE machine in the cold drink area, according to a CSP Daily News store tour, and the kiosk makes frozen Rechargers, fruit smoothies, milkshakes and frozen coffee. ICEE flavors and prices vary by store. Frozen coffee recipes are on the coffee menu.

Which Wawa drinks have caffeine?

Coffee, Rechargers, green tea refreshers, matcha, iced tea and colas have caffeine at Wawa. Rechargers are the only handcrafted drinks with a reported amount, 75 to 150 mg before a boost. Lemonade, juice, milk, fruit smoothies and refreshers made without green tea are caffeine-free, which makes them the picks for kids.

What are the best drinks at Wawa?

The best Wawa drinks for most people are the oat milk refreshers, which Sporked's August 2026 taste test rated highest, and a Recharger when you need energy without coffee. Unsweetened iced tea is the best zero-calorie pick, and Wawa's own chocolate milk is the classic for kids. These six cover every craving.

Common Wawa drink problems and how to fix them

Most drink complaints at Wawa are a Freestyle machine that is out of a flavor, a watery frozen drink, a refresher that is too sweet, a sold-out bottle in the cold case or a price that differs from this page. Each card gives the quickest fix for the drink you wanted.

    Freestyle flavor is out

Tell the counter if a flavor will not pour; staff can change the cartridge, or pick the nearest flavor on the screen.

    My Recharger is watery

Frozen drinks melt fast in a warm car. Ask for less ice in the iced version, or drink the frozen one first.

    It is too sweet

Pick less sugar or zero sugar on Rechargers, and unsweetened tea mixed with lemonade for a lighter Arnold Palmer.

    Double Dutch is sold out

It is one of the bottles customers most often find sold out. Ask when the next delivery is due, or try cookies and cream.

    I need no caffeine

Order refreshers without green tea, and choose lemonade, juice, milk or fruit smoothies.

    The price is different

Prices vary by store and state, and delivery apps add more. The kiosk and register show your store's price.

    Wawa drinks FAQ

    Does Wawa have free water?

We could not confirm a written free-water policy at Wawa, so ask the cashier before you fill a cup at the fountain. Bottled water, including larger bottles and multipacks at many stores, is sold in the cold case.

    Does Wawa give free refills?

Wawa does not publish a free refill policy for fountain drinks, and stores handle it differently. Ask the cashier before you refill a used cup. Wawa Rewards members sometimes get free any-size fountain drinks on special days such as Wawa Day.

Can I add protein to a Wawa drink?

Yes, to Rechargers. Chowhound lists a whey protein add-on next to Boost and Immunity on the kiosk. For a higher-protein drink without the energy kick, Wawa's own 16 oz milks and bottled protein shakes in the cold case are the simpler choice.

    Was Wawa milk recalled?

Yes, in February 2026. Wawa recalled some 16 oz bottles of Double Dutch chocolate, chocolate, cookies and cream and 2% milk with March 2026 code dates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware, over possible soft plastic pieces. Wawa reported no confirmed injuries, and later bottles were not part of it.

    Does Wawa have sugar-free drinks?

Yes. Unsweetened iced tea, black coffee, cold brew and the diet sodas on the Freestyle fountain have no sugar. Rechargers can be ordered with less sugar or zero sugar, according to Chowhound, and bottled diet teas are often in the cold case.

    Does Wawa sell boba?

We found no tapioca boba tea on the Wawa menu, but you can add popping bubbles to refreshers and Rechargers at the kiosk. They are small juice-filled pearls that burst when you bite them, so they give a similar feel for an extra charge.
